It is generally accepted that architecture shapes the environment. And what if the environment itself is the carrier of information and energy, which is able to speak in the language of symbols, history, traditions, art? To ignore this influence is to deny its existence. Motifs of the natural Carpathian environment were reflected in the art of embroidery, inlay, painting, and carving and formed an ethnic image of local hue, which generally characterized the context that guided us in the search for the silhouette of the building, lines, and architectural techniques in general.
